With its partner program elevate, green flexibility offers developers of large-scale battery storage projects the opportunity to bring their projects to realization together with an experienced operator and developer. The program specifically targets developers who already have promising projects with grid connection approvals but require additional capital, technical know-how, or operational experience to take the next step.
“Through elevate, we actively participate in projects with confirmed grid reservations at all stages of development,” explains Christoph Lienert, Co-Founder and COO of green flexibility. “We secure financing, contribute our technical expertise and experience as a project developer, and, as the future operator, help build trust among authorities and grid operators. Our goal is to take projects to the next level. Together, we develop construction-ready battery storage projects, implement them, and operate them long-term.”
The importance of elevate for the energy transition
The energy transition requires flexible solutions. Large-scale battery storage systems are a mature technology that operates without subsidies and plays a crucial role in stabilizing the power grid. They enable the efficient integration of renewable energies into the grid and ensure supply security.
However, project development often faces delays – caused by complex approval procedures, construction challenges, or the pre-financing of grid connections. Many projects could contribute to the energy system much earlier but are held back by these hurdles.
This is exactly where elevate comes in: the goal is to support external projects and accelerate their path to construction readiness. By collaborating with experienced partners, battery storage projects can be realized quickly and efficiently – precisely where they are needed.
In doing so, elevate makes an important contribution to the faster integration of large-scale battery storage systems and the successful advancement of the energy transition.
Multiple partnerships already underway
Since its launch, elevate has already initiated several successful partnerships. Among the latest is a cooperation with Hansa Battery from Hamburg, under which around 500 MW of battery storage projects are being developed to construction readiness. This collaboration demonstrates how elevate accelerates project development with capital, structure, and implementation expertise—driving the grid-supportive expansion of large-scale battery storage across Germany.
